Sumanto
Chattopadhyay (Gautama Buddha) Sumanato Chattopadhyay's first role was as a poet-turned-terrorist, the protagonist in the Hindi film "Char Adhyay", based on the Tagore novel. It was described as an "Impressive debut" by India Today magazine. He has subsequently acted in the Hindi film Is "Raat Ki Subah Nahin", the Hindi TV serial "Nam Gum Jayega", the English play "Barefoot in Mumbai" and in numerous TV commercials and music videos. He enjoys working as a presenter and recently compered Bob Dylan's 60th Birthday Celebrations in Mumbai. Sumanto writes on topics ranging from advertising to travel in Indian Express. Man's World and other Indian publications. He also works as creative director at Oblivy & Mather Advertising, Mumbai. Sumanto has an MS in Applied Mathematics from Clemson University, South Carolina and an MBA from McGill University, Canada. Avijit Dutt (King Shuodhodhana) Avijit Dutt was a school teacher at St. Pauls, Darjeeling, before joining Advertising. He later became Creative Director of Lintas Advertising and is a recipient of various awards. He is now a Delhi based communications consultant, Filmmaker and Theatre Worker. Avijit Dutt has acted and directed over 80 plays in English, Bengali and Hindi. As a communicator, he has worked on issues such as Literacy and Child Abuse with UNICEF. He has acted in, produced and published material for cinema and television. |
